Honorable Mention Sight Treezaa (T. E. Ballard)
Fish born in caves wear no eyes Swim with the night yet there is no day. No way to compare what I've lost by loving you. An eye, a tooth perhaps A third hand, sixth toe, something useless, unneeded. Let us return To the fish, the fin bumping its way in the dark. Scales where sight should be. Smooth, translucent Almost light yet there in no one To morn, to touch what does not exist. Here is the place of my sixth finger. Absent it swims, blindly with my heart.
